In Memory of Tyrell Ramone Finley

Carrying the Torch Forward

Tyrell spent his life opening doors for those who needed them most. The 4UHEAVY Foundation was built to keep those doors open — for his community, for vulnerable families, and for everyone still searching for a way in.

Our Mission

A Foundation Built on Love & Compassion

To honor the humanitarian legacy of Tyrell Finley by creating safe, nurturing spaces where individuals and families can thrive.

Inspired by Tyrell's dedicated service in supportive housing and youth mentorship, we advocate for community safety, cultivate artistic expression, and provide the tools for life improvement that help people of all ages achieve wholeness through love and compassion.

Tyrell Ramone Finley

"He felt that no one was beyond redemption and everyone deserved a helping hand."

The 4UHEAVY Framework

Three Pillars of Community Health

Educational Empowerment & Mentoring

Meeting every student where they are.

We provide hybrid tutoring and mentoring programs designed to meet children where they are. By combining the flexibility of digital learning with the impact of in-person guidance, we ensure that every student has the academic and emotional support needed to succeed.

  • Hybrid model: digital learning tools paired with in-person mentorship sessions
  • Academic tutoring across core subjects for K–12 students
  • Emotional and social skill development alongside academic support
  • Mentoring by volunteers from D9 organizations, community leaders, and professionals
  • Flexible scheduling designed to remove barriers for families in crisis or transition

Strategic Partnerships for Safe Spaces

Safety lies in community.

4UHEAVY partners with local churches, shelters, and non-profit organizations to create and sustain Safe Havens — spaces where families and individuals can access counseling, emergency housing, and community advocacy.

  • Counseling & Mental Health Support: helping families process trauma and build resilience
  • Emergency & Supportive Shelter: ensuring no child is left without a secure place to sleep
  • Partnerships with local churches, D9 organizations, and community-based nonprofits
  • Community Advocacy: working with local government on physical safety improvements
  • Second Street Pedestrian Safety Project: advocating for safer crosswalks and infrastructure

Holistic Life Improvement

From crisis to stability — a pathway to wholeness.

Following Tyrell's example in supportive housing, we don't just offer temporary fixes. We connect families to life skills, artistic outlets, community gardens, and standards of excellence that create lasting transformation.

  • Life skills training: financial literacy, time management, and self-advocacy
  • Artistic expression programs: dance, visual arts, and creative development
  • The 4UHEAVY Community Legacy Garden: nutrition education and environmental wellness
  • Educational garden tours connecting youth to sustainability and community stewardship
  • Standards of excellence coaching for individuals moving from crisis to long-term stability

Tyrell's Living Legacy

Meet the Kids

Tyrell gave of himself to his community, a sacrifice felt most deeply by his four children. The values he instilled in them — leadership, empathy, and strength — continue to thrive in the community he called home.

Destiny

High School Senior

Destiny is the oldest of Tyrell's children and carries his drive in everything she does. A standout athlete in both basketball and softball, she is preparing to take her talents and intellect to an HBCU. She has inherited her father's belief that no goal is beyond reach with love, discipline, and hard work.

Brooklyn is a 4th grader who expresses herself through every art form she can find — dance, visual art, and skating. She is creative, joyful, and full of wonder. In her, you can see the artistic soul that Tyrell wanted every child to have the space to develop.

Cairo is the youngest of Tyrell's children — a kindergartner full of wonder, energy, and endless curiosity. He loves trucks, art, sports, and movies with equal passion. He is at the very beginning of the journey his father spent his life helping other children navigate with confidence and joy.

"A kindergartner whose curiosity is boundless — every truck, every crayon, every game is a new adventure waiting to be had."
